About This Song
A showcase of super soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich's own themes in previous works as well as his trademarked "DSCH" theme that dominates the theme of the song.
This movement is a lamentation of the theme and provides a recap on the DSCH theme, his first symphony, and a smidge of his second chamber symphony.
