Whoa this is pretty old, but if you're still looking for an answer?

Well, first your question is kinda hard to understand?
Are you trying to export to midi from guitar pro? or some other application?
If exporting and importing using guitar pro, it's the easiest thing.

File>Export>Midi (which turns your Gp4/5 file into "midi" format
And if you have a midi.
File>Import>Midi (which turns your midi in to a Gp4/5 file.
