Maybe your file association got screwy? If you haven't already, the first thing I'd do in your situation is change that. In Windows XP, right click on the file and select 'Properties' (at the very bottom) and under the general tab (which should be selected automatically) find the third header (it's near the top) which reads 'Opens with'. There will be a button on the right labeled 'Change'. Click it and select the program with which you want the file to be opened.
I believe that should change ALL MP3 (assuming you're doing this with an MP3 file) associations to the program of your choosing. If it doesn't, a longer tutorial for XP file associations exists here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859
And for Vista/7 here: http://www.winvistaclub.com/t19.html

I'm new, myself, but I doubt that any amount, no matter how low, makes you a 'wiener'. Most of us use this site without paying a dime, and I'm sure the webmaster would be grateful for anything you care to offer. |
