QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery (ADR) is a feature in QuickBooks that may allow users of QuickBooks to recover all or almost all of their data if in case data loss or corruption has occurred. QuickBooks Data Recovery Tool was introduced by Intuit in QuickBooks 2012 (and later) and QB Enterprise Solutions 13.0 R4 (and later).
When compared to Intuit Data Services, Auto Data Recovery (ADR) offers a faster way of recovering data. But a QuickBooks user should remember that Auto Data Recovery should only is used as a last resort when all of the appropriate troubleshooting methods have been fully tried.
QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery (ADR) is only available in the following QuickBooks products for Microsoft Windows operating system – QB Pro, QB Premier, and QB Enterprise Solutions. QuickBooks Accountant editions lack this feature. There is a limitation for ADR file size and it is 1.5 GB. An ADR file will not be generated if in case, backup is greater than 1.5 GB.
To make the best use of QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery feature, your QuickBooks should be fully updated.
