Would it be possible to add a feature converting either WAV files to MP3 or WAV files to MIDI?
That would be a great help. Thanx! |

Wave to MP3 is possible while almost any conversion to MIDI is impossible. If there are more request to this function, I will get on it as soon as time permits. |

converting wave-form audio (like mp3's and wav files) to midi is impossible, unless the song has one instrument track, like piano, then it wouldn't be impossible, but there will be mistakes in the midi file. |

Yes, you are right. There are existing converters out there that attempt to convert digital sound to MIDI. Simple one instrument is possible but it's not something common people want to convert.
If human can distinguish individual instruments from a song and transcribe them, I am sure computer is able to do that too. It'd also become one of the great PhD papars. |

There is software out there that claims to be able to convert music with several instruments to a multi-track MIDI file. The program is called Intelliscore MP3 to MIDI Converter at Intelliscore MP3 to MIDI Converter. You will have to do some editing, but it can definately help. |
