Hi,

I've had this problem since day one (that is, I started using Reaper in 2006).

If I import a midi file that has been created in Guitar Pro the soft synths automatically switch to a preset that has the same instrument number as what was assigned to the track in Guitar Pro. This makes auditioning between sounds impossible.

I've tried creating a new empty midi file and copy-pasting the notes there but it doesn't fix the issue.
