Normaly nokia phone not support synth sound. If the midi have synth sound the file will unable to open following to my experience.Nokia would sound bad if the midi uses many bass. The bass would change into guitar sound.

Chords:Nokia:16-48
Mitsubishi:32
Alcatel:32
Samsung:40-64

Yes S/Ericsson may doing better polyphonic than samsung. Although samsung the most loudest than any phone (I Think) but samsung u cant really hear the background sound... not like S/E. S/E have much clearer sound if put some synth sound it will sounded very good.S/E give samsung a competition.

Best Model:
Sony Ericsson:First Class T610,T630 Second Class Z600,Z200
Samsung:First Class D410C,E100A,E700, Second Class X600
