(4 bar intro)
On man, was God's image laid,
How much did God bestow?
The whole creation homage paid,
But He kept Adam far below!
Adam dwelt in paridise
Ate fruit without a price
And there with eve for his help
He walked confident.
Yea confident
But by now sin had quickly came
Adam's honor faded fast
His heart, from God estranged,
His conscience broke like a piece a glass
Now from God's voice Adam flees,
Instead of fallin down to his knees
Adam planed to hide, in some trees,
From almighty God
Hide from almighty God yea
(what you doin' in there Adam)
Compelled to answer to his name,
With stubbornness and pride
Adam cast, on God and Eve the blame,
Not once for mercy did he cry.
But grace, unasked, unattained
By blood alone his guilt forgave;
By faith, the promise was made
An God showed his power to save.
Yea we ourselves aint justified,
When the Law we transgress;
When like Adam we try to deny,
No never wishing to confess.
Till by faith the sinner sees
There's a pardon bought with blood;
Then he quits his foolish pleas,
An gladly turns back to God.
Yea glady turns to God
(no break)
Adam had a good thing goin
He had it all in his hand
Why he ever believed the devil
No body ever really knows
But ever since he went along with evil
We have paid for it ever since
Till the man of sorrows came
Laid down His Life ,took our shame
And now it's His evelasting fame
Thank you Lord Jesus
Praise Your Holy name
For by one man sin came in
Till another man took it all away
Praise Your Holy name Jesus
Praise it till you come back again
It's the only name that can save ... |
